Master’s graduate with a background in economics, adult education and English. Profound experience in working in an international environment and in cross-functional teams. My professional roles include Recruiting, Sales and IT Business development in a global set up. Always striving for finding the best solution for every challenge coming up. Versatile, reliable, independent, efficient and highly result-oriented with over nine years of experience working in a high-paced environment whilst always overachieving targets. Diversified skills including relationship management, recruiting, sales as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills; this is all combined with intercultural competencies due to different jobs and stays abroad.

How did I get there? One of the key factors was definitely my educational background at the University of Mannheim that I connected to extensive experiences abroad. I spend all of my semester breaks as well as parts of my studies living in different countries, including Spain, Ireland, Indonesia, Vietnam and Taiwan.

As a young man I had the desire to work with my hands, whilst at the same time expanding my creativity. I was, and still am, very convinced, that a hands-on profession, e.g., as for me as a cook enables you to do just that. I was able to experiment with flavors, combine products and create a special experience for the senses of my customers.

24 years ago, this industry was not ready for an innovative exotic like me. Nevertheless, during my education I learned a lot about my abilities, especially about the fact that I enjoy complex processes and their development in a team. Also, I learned that I am very good at them. I focused on this and grew throughout educating myself in different areas, being it languages, business and IT process as well as intercultural competencies. Learning never stopped for me and my key success factor to this was combining all this educational modules with an extensive experience abroad, so besides my work in Germany, I worked a lot in Turkey, France and last but not least, beautiful Spain.

Today, I am in my forties and a successful business consultant supporting several global enterprises on their digital transformation ambitions. Thus, I changed a bit of my patina and surely, over time I’ve got a few dents. I guess we call that character.

Even as a child I taped to the window of my parents’ car when we drove past Frankfurt Airport. At that point I was already very curious to discover the wide world, so after my language school education I became a flight attendant.
From then on, a long-standing airline and tourism era began. I loved traveling a lot and being professionally employed abroad.
The encounters and different cultures of all the places in the world I visited were my best study.

At some point I felt the need to leave the country I grew up in and open up to new industries. From the banking industry to the luxury watch and jewelry industry to the office furniture industry, from the clerk to the salesperson to the top sales manager with his own team responsibility.

I trusted myself to do anything that would develop me not only professionally but also personally. Today I am an experienced, versatile and highly motivated manager and brand ambassador about luxury and retail with over 10 years in sales focusing on retail and store management, store projects and events, operational efficiencies and performance management. I have a track record in delivering and exceeding sales targets, solving problems, coaching, leadership and providing exceptional customer experience.
I call this my personal university of life. I would do “almost” everything the same way again.
